Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. Quotes require only your gender, age, general health status, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and your preferred term length—six pieces of information. Your personal name, address, and detailed health history are requested only if you proceed to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the premiums each carrier quoted for the health category you chose. Once you apply, the actual cost depends on underwriting results, which may confirm, improve or worsen your rate tier. This site shows estimates and isn't a binding commitment or price guarantee.
What happens when I click Apply?
Provide your full name. The system creates an application using exactly the quote you selected, then opens the carriers' secure form for you to continue. You may pause and finish later, and sign with an electronic signature. Susman Insurance Agency (License 0B75129), a California-licensed firm, manages the application.
Will I need a medical exam?
The answer depends on the specific carrier, your coverage amount and your application details. Some carriers offer immediate decisions for qualified applicants; your quote indicates whether a medical exam is required, possibly required, or not needed.
Is a longer term better?
A term should align with the period when losing your income would hurt your dependents: years with a mortgage, children still at home, business obligations. Longer terms carry higher monthly costs but guarantee the rate for that full period. The quote tool lets you compare every combination from 10 through 30 years.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote engine doesn't capture contact information, we never sell or exchange customer data, and we use privacy-respecting analytics with no tracking cookies. The privacy page lists everything collected and who has access.
